“I really like this restaurant. We have had four visits here, always to meet our expectations. Guillermo’s reminds me of a fine Mexico City, Guadalajara or Morelia restaurant. I had their chipotle shrimp dish last night and it was amazing. Their sauces are sophisticated and complex. Just beautiful. The mole is fantastic. The homemade flan is a must. The portion of food is scaled down and I appreciate that. I would much rather have quality over quantity. As a good home cook I appreciate their details.”

“We were looking for a Mex food alternative to Las Casuelas as we’ve been there a bunch and wanted to try something new. We were very pleased with Guillermos. It’s on El Paseo so easy access in Palm Desert. Big patio area for seating if you want to be al fresco. It’s basic but nice. Delicious salsas (very hot green salsa! and milder red). Loved the tamales. Nice balance of masa and chicken. Lots of margarita choices served in beautiful marg. glasses! I’d go here again! And manager came by at end of meal to see if we were satisfied which is always a nice touch!”

“The concierge at our resort recommended Guillermo’s. The mussels were a delicate appetizer and the queso was delicious. Our meal was prepared by the chef and it was not on the menu. We had a fish that was served with a Veracruz sauce. It was delicate and decadent. My daughter had shrimp had an amazing sauce and her boyfriend had a steak that was prepared medium rare, it melted in your mouth. Guillermo visited our table several times and that was a pleasant treat. I strongly recommend eating here!”

“Great Mexican food! Delicious and not heavy. Ask for the spicy salsa. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the great weather a few nights ago. Good service, margaritas, and extensive tequila list. Highly recommend.”

“Excellent margaritas! Very good service! Great food! This is not a typical Mexican restaurant as you will not see combo plates or things of that nature. It seems to be geared more towards seafood dishes and healthy, fresh ingredients. I’ve been here twice with large parties and both times, everyone has left very satisfied. Also, excellent guacamole!”

“I had the CARNE ASADA TRADICIONAL and found it to be well seasoned and done to perfection. The beans and the Guacamole were also excellent. I sat at the bar and the bar tender was very friendly. The salsa that came with the chips was very good as well and not to spicy. The restaurant had an outdoor seating area and plenty of seats inside as well. Very good experience and a tough decision as to what to order. I would eat here again if I am in the area.”
